Description:
WireRope Mate supplies several varieties of ball fittings for wire rope and aircraft cable end terminations.
Ball fittings must be rotary swaged to the cable in order to provide optimal strength and dimensions.
1/16” and 3/32” plain balls typically hold to 80% of 7x7 and 7x19 aircraft cable nominal break strength.
1/8” 5/32”, and 3/16” plain balls typically hold 60% of 7x7 and 7x19 aircraft cable nominal break strength.
Single and double shank balls typically hold 100% of aircraft cable and general purpose wire rope break strength. For holding strength on strand products, a pull test is recommended.
